ISO/TS 16949 Quality Management System (QMS) Audit - May 2010

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Surtec Philippines, Inc. is committed to comply with all applicable environmental legislations and regulations in the country and the requirements of the industry to which we subscribe, Uphold sound environmental practices in natural resources conservation and pollution prevention, and Responsive to the health and safety of its employees. To ensure our environmental compliance, we will monitor and measure our environmental performance, Educate our employees to be environmentally conscious and responsible, and Continually improve our EMS.
PRESIDENT'S POLICY 2009
   1. Target Achievement for Sales
 
  • Establish strong and reliable business system in accordance with EMS, QMS and customer requirements.
  • Strengthen business activities with oversea sister Companies like SKT, SKI and in China through cooperative and coordinated activities.
 
   2. Quality Improvement
 
  • Establish effective built-in quality system to each individual process (through management by visibility, open communication, self initiated countermeasure implementation and QA supervised KAIZEN activities).
  • Reduce customer claim.
  • Immediate detection and report of abnormality and quick response to resolve it.
  • Establish effective preventive measures in manufacturing to eliminate quality defects arising from overlooking and formulate the most appropriate system for them.
 
   3. Continuous Pursuit of Self Proprietary - "The Only One"
              - Metal Finishing Technology
 
  • Develop new technology to meet customer requirement.
  • - CN1 Line Conversion : Install Aluminum Anodizing Process.
    - Passivation Line: Introduce New Trivalent Chromium Treatment Process for Aluminun Parts
 
   4. Establish Cost Improvement Measures to Generate Lower Cost of
        Production
 
  • Achieve target rate of productivity in terms of improved manhour.
  • Reduce cost of defect scrap.
  • Implement cost reduction activities (Material, Energy, Consumable, Transportation, etc.).
  • Upgrade indirect supporting departments' (Finance, GA, Maintenance, QA and TES) performance through reduction of overhead costs.
 
   5. Personnel Motivation and Competence Development
 
  • Transfer and appointment of personnel with adequate capability and enthusiasm (equal opportunity but fair).
  • Encourage & support personnel in related examination or certification. Recruit and train personnel for oversea responsibility and develop their skill.
  • Develop personnel morale through activities like Kaizen Circle / encourage them to propose suggestions / improvements.
  • Build safe and healthy working environment Company with good harmonious relationship in the community.
 
QUALITY OBJECTIVES 2009

SPC

1.) To achieve overall improvement in safe man-hours attainment by 10%,better than previous years performance.

HUMAN RESOURCES

1.) To achieve 100% monitoring of concerned group training plan and provide assistance during the execution of training to achieve 90% compliance to training schedule.

PURCHASING

1.) To achieve 100% supplier quality management system development, compliant to ISO 9001:2000, for both direct and identified indirect material supplier.

2.) To achieve 20 - 30% reduction in Inventory related expenses through the application of Kanban System starting June 2009.

TES

1.) To achieve 100% application of chemical bath renewal expressed in terms of volume of processed products in ZP1, ZP2, CNB and CN4 .

MAINTENANCE

1.) To achieve below 10% Machine Downtime Loss with respect to Operation Planned Pro- duction Time.

PPC

1.) To achieve 100% on-time delivery rates to major customers for prevention of their line operation's stoppage.

2.) To achieve 100% FIFO compliance of lot identification for applicable customer parts not exceeding 7 working days.

QA

1.) To achieve 100% Kaizen initiated company wide program and implementation .

2.) To achieve 100% document compliance requirements of product engaged in prelaunching activity with reference to the latest Manual Edition last 2008.

3.) To achieve 100% on time response and submission of Customer Claim based on initial analysis by each concerned group.

4.) To achieve 100% establishment of updated quality limit criteria for all TEP items processed in Zinc Plating Line.

PRODUCTION

1.) To achieve overall equipment effetiveness (OEE) of at least 60% starting April 2009.

2.) To achieve a target sales generation of $9.5 / man-hr in a month as part of the productivity improvement program for both operation and support division.

3.) To achieve 20% reduction on rate of occurrence of non-conforming parts as compared to last years performance.

4.) To achieve 100% document compliance requirements of product engaged in mass pro- duction activity with reference to the latest Manual Edition last 2008.
